Halfway Down the Rabbit Hole

Reality...vs Illusion

Every once in a while I guess you just have to realize truths that you've known for a long time but denied. I guess I've recently hit one of those times. Some truths are simply harder to accept than others...

Funny...the song I'm listening to as I'm bloggings is "Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House...

Back to School

I'd Blog about the tragedy of New Orleans but if you're interested in the story you can probably find what you want at Google News (Canadian site, change suffix to com for US/Int. site). As for my thoughts I'm holding them for now.

Ok...so the school year has just started and with that I have begun my third and final year at the college. With enough luck I'll end up in May with a Technologist diploma. But enough about that. This week was the first week of school. Along with returning students came the new students. I was working at the college during the orientation and the Student Assoc. was handing out free packages, including Axe Body Spray. The next day, when all (well..most) full-time classes began I got to ride a crowded bus full of students that was rank with the body spray.
Anyways, the majority of my classes involve either automation and/or programming. I have one class that involves math (calculus I) and a total of 26 hrs a week, 36 hrs including breaks.
The cavalier finally has a new radio in it. A few weeks ago at Canadian Tyre, they were advertising a 250 watt KOSS cd/mp3 player. It cost $79.99 x tax to buy plus about $30 for installation kit and wiring harness and $50 labour to install it. So it wasn't that bad...150 for a new car radio including installation.

Other than that not much else has happened (something big is happening that I might blog about later but not until it's finished with) other than having my internet down for a couple of weeks. I thought it'd be the modem itself so i had it replaced at the storefront. This was to no avail. So I finally caved and scheduled to have a Cogeco Technician come and fix the problem. I took a day off at work to be home to him. The problem? Squirrels. They had munched on the cable in several places. This didn't really take my internet down immediately but it started getting sluggish. Becuase of this I figured Cogeco was having problems. I started figuring something was odd when I talked to other customers and found out that they weren't having any problems. So anyways...when the tech came over he saw the problem, cut and replaced the munched wires and we were back.

I need to start tickling the ivories more often...
